STEP 2

Tear or cut the plaster gauze into various sizes. (This can get a bit dusty!)

STEP 3

Dip a strip of the plaster gauze into a tub of water. I like to use warm water as it causes the plaster gauze to set up more quickly than cold water. Let the strip drip a bit back into the pan of water without squeezing it out.

STEP 4

Lay the gauze strips onto the fabric. You can leave a bit of the edge of the fabric showing, if desired, for more texture.

STEP 5

Use your fingers to rub down the plaster gauze, working the wet plaster into the fabric to create a good bond. As the gauze begins to set, you can rub the gauze to smooth over the texture of the fibers.
